Pinin inside MANIA!
August 19th, 2008

Check it out guys! We made it into the pages of MANIA! magazine! Now even your kid siblings can get their fill of Pinin!
Our highly anticipated Gloomy Bear pouches have arrived in-store! One of few products which cross between fashion-ability and playability. I have been walking around George St with a blue one and people are asking me about it! I use it to store my train and coffee money :3
Produced by Taito, measures almost 30cm, good quality soft plush, carabiner hook and pocket zipper to hide coins and lollies. Ideal if going for a new savvy street look with a subtle twist; a bloody bear hanging off your waist!
Pinin has 50 units to spare for this, 10 of each colour (Red, White, Blue, Pink & Black). Pick them up while you can @ our Lumiere shop or online.

Mostly old, but good news.
Aside from the peculiar, we know that everyone needs their regular dose of plushies, sweatbands, jewelry, mobile danglers and mini-figurines from Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Haruhi, Gintama, Code Geass, FLCL, Full Metal Alchemist, Tsubasa, FLCL & more… so we’re doing that too. But it won’t be placed online; an extra reason to go to SMASH

Mimobots march into Pinin
July 2nd, 2008
July 1st 2008, Sydney

Pinin will be holding a small gathering to launch the mimobot® Designer USB flash drives produced by mimoco as part of the Pinin range of stock on Friday July 4, 2008 at 6:00pm. The gathering will be held at the Pinin shopfront located in front of the escalator in the Regent Shopping Centre. The centre is located on George Street between the Greater Union cinema complex and KFC.
Produced in limited editions, mimobot® Designer USB Flash Drives merge the art of the progressive Vinyl Toy movement with the functionality of USB flash memory keys. The result is an experimental platform where multitudes of characters are translated into the portable mimobot form and are coupled with preloaded exclusive digital content.
The tiny two inch mimobots are available in 1GB to 8GB capacities, are high-speed USB2.0, compatible with Mac and Window (enchanced for Vista ReadyBoost) and are preloaded with an assortment of character-related media content such as animation, games, music, wallpapers, screensavers, icons and the mimobot soundByte™ application.
About mimoco:
mimoco is a designer toy studio meets consumer electronics brand based in Boston, Massachusetts. With a mission to bring style and soul to personal tech devices and to inject interactivity into the burgeoning art toy movement, the first fruits of our vision are the delicious and fresh mimobot® Designer USB Flash Drives launched in late 2005.

June 27th, 2008
This entry is chock-full of updates, but I’ll make it quick!

Lumiere/ Regents Shopping Centre
Between George St Cinemas & KFC, take the escalators down
6-9pm Friday 27th June 2008
There will be food, drinks, music and live art demos. And bring your socialising hat
Mentioned on news.com.au

Pinin and Meow-chan were mentioned on News.com.au with their feature on Supanova. What do you think? I think he resembles more of something else… Check the story here.
Reel Anime

Our good friends @ Dendy Newtown are collaborating with Madman for a showcasing of some of the freshest Japanese Animation from the land of Godzilla. One of the best things you can do with your anime is to watch it on a big screen @ a cinema which, in my humble opinion, has the best choc-tops! For more info: http://www.madman.com.au/reelanime/
Fanart

David Ma of UNSW sent this picture he drew of me via Facebook! I thought it was fabulous, and resembles me greatly! It is a literal reference to a favourite song of mine by French duo Air. If you can guess what it is via comments, I’ll send you a little something

Pinin in the Press!
June 4th, 2008
Pinin was recently interviewed by Vertigo, UTS’s student publication, for their geek edition. Toaster Sheep was featured as the centrefold (as opposed to the likes of Mario, Pokemon & Magic the Gathering T_T)
“After being drugged while actually at a hostess bar in Japan, I hallucinated about sheep and woke up with a toast in my mouth…”
